I am wondering why the Jbl is selling crappy speakers and subwoofer in India while in foreign countries they sell speakers like jbl studio 530,590.I know there is a huge demand for jbl speakers in India but the speakers I have listened to are absolutely terrible. As the biggest manufacturer of speakers in the world it's not like they can't afford to sell them here in India.Even the small brands like Dali sell here at reasonable prices

One of the problems that JBL themselves might be aware of is the pricing of the current lineup. This could be a limiting factor. Would you buy a JBL Arena or a Polk Audio Rti A9? At close to 100k, your options open up as well. A JBL no longer makes sense cause you can get much better speakers.

is the case same with svs ?

My colleague has an sealed box, top of the line Ultra series which was ordered from the SVS distributor, which was once based out of Coimbatore. The new distributor is Acoustic Art based out of Delhi. With SVS sub woofers, there is little else that can compete at the price point.

He meant the svs ultra bookshelf speakers, which according to the reviewer zreviews is one of the best bookshelf's for the money.Of course I can't find it here in India

JBL does sell their good speakers here if you know what is good, that said JBL isn't my definition of "good". If indeed you still wish to purchase a particular JBL model in production and are willing to pay the costs, if you dig enough you can get it through local official channels, due to their large line up some models may not be readily stocked and the cost of importing a small quantity would be higher. It may require some persistence to actually get these models as most distributors are not interested in importing them in small quantities often preferring to sell ready stock, best bet is to directly contact JBL, Harman India.

Word of warning, importing such items can take long amounts of time, if patience is not your virtue then I would not advise to get into it.
