I bought a Hisense U7QF 65" in January 2021 fropm Reliance Digital. It came with a 3 year warranty but me being paranoid paid a whopping 13k extra for 2 more years of extra warranty (from Reliance ResQ) giving me a total of 5 years. A few months ago the TV developed a faint (almost imperceptible other than in dark greyish scenes) band. So a week before the 5 year warranty expired I called in a repair, and the Reliance ResQ people came and looked at it, acknowleded it's a panel fault, and called me a week later and said they don't have the panel to replace it but they can offer me a depreciated price of Rs. 62,900 for the TV. Part of me thought 'hey it's a warranty they should pay me full price' but then I peeped at the fine print and also realised 63k is a fair amount of money to get back after 5 years of using a 90k TV.

It took till now and a lot of chasing to get the money, but I received it today, hence the post. And of course as I mentioned in another thread, I bought a 75" TCL C6K for 93k, which makes the net cost of my new TV 30K. I will be taking the extended warranty from OneAssist for this. The moral of the story is that these TVs have a fairly good chance of failing in the 5-year timeframe, so it is probably a good idea to pay extra and get enough extended warranty to cover you for 5 years. At least you'll have the peace of mind.
