Hi Experts,

Need you advice on the selection of HEAD UNIT and Speakers for my new Grand i10

Head Unit: Pioneer Fh-X559ui

Pioneer Fh-X559ui Car Media Player Price in India - Buy Pioneer Fh-X559ui Car Media Player online at Flipkart.com

Speakers : Sony S-N16402 16cm 4-Way In Car Speakers (300 Watts) and
S-N69402 16cm x 24cm 4-Way In Car Speakers (500 Watts)

Will these speakers be supported by head unit. My point of concern is about the wattage rating. Head unit max output watt per channel is 50 watt while the speakers are mentioned with 300 and 500 watts.

Is it a good combination of speakers?

Fist of all, its better to go for head unit with bluetooth connectivity, which I doubt on the model mentioned by you.
When it comes to speakers, better to go for speaker specialists like JBL, Focal, Hertz etc. Sony won't be that good compared to those mentioned above.
The power ratings are all peak power. Head unit with 50W max will be just 20W. Speaker power of 350W are all max rating, rms rating will be less. If you need to unleash the full potential of the speakers, you may have to go for amplifiers in addition, depends on how much loud you want to play. In my experience, the power from head unit is adequate in most case.

@jvs is right Bluetooth is must as one always receive phone call while driving. the other thing is choose two speaker set say infinity and morel maximos(I have those ) and ask installer to demo those with above finalised head unit with flat equalizer . don't let him disturb the equalizer setting in demo .Compare these two with with your Sony . Choose accordingly . Don't let installer dictate you which is better which is not . Might use your extra half an hour or so in above excercise but result will be worth an effort . Enjoy . Also move to other installer if he is not willing to give the demo.he is not worth it

@pverma96... I am not sure about head unit but let me tell you something about JBL co-axial speakers.

I use a pair of oval shaped JBL speaks in my car (Eon). I forgot the model number ( its not written on the speaker anywhere and I lost the box ), but the price for this pair was close to 4k. I can say that at this price point xplods (installed in my friend's car) are bit loud but my JBLs are more clear in vocal as well as in highs. I compared them with POLO's ( my brother's ) pre installed speakers as well. The later sounded boomy but not clear at all.

The only downside for my JBLs is, its lacks in low frequencies. You might need a sub to compensate.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
