wireless rear speakers

I'm planning to go in for one of them home theatre systems with wireless ready (rear) speakers. So my question is: what is the cost of the wireless router (or whatever it is called)?
Is the sound quality through wireless good? Or is there interference, crackling, etc??

well....wireless speakers have a long way to go in audio. So dump the idea and go wired.

To achieve this one needs to wirelessely transmit the audio channel signal before amplification. And the speakers should have amplifiers in them. The back speakers will be wired at least to power outlets.

there are many that exist...profx who deals with kef and pold mentioned about having or getting them. But this still has a long way to go in terms of technology. There is so few discussion on this topic...obviously it is because it is far from being used in the HiFi industry. For this technology to even be comparable the speakers would require highly expensive power amps like ones found on receivers. and these need to be wired to electrical outlets

again my advise... If you are willing to compromise on SQ then jump for it. If you are buying something like LG...Bose...Samsung...and so on dont worry the SQ is already compromised so u shdnt worry much as u probably wont notice it anyways . If you are particular of SQ, then dont even think of this!
