THose FS are 3 way speakers ...... with three 5.5" drivers....
this 5.1 can bring the house down...

it says designed by A.Jones don know how much added significance will that bear on SQ

I received my Pioneer SP-PK21BS today..very excited to start my journey too...It was a long wait..Its time to experience an amazing sound from well acclaimed speaker system..
can anyone tell me whether I will need coaxial sub woofer cable to connect sub woofer or simple RCA cable will do a job?

Congrats naimesh. You can use a simple RCA cable for subwoofer connection. Later you can upgrade to a better interconnect if you wish.

please tolerate my ignorance as i am not too much experienced with this systems..
I have tried to connect sub woofer with RCA cable(red, yellow, white type) but not able to work sub woofer..it has some vibrations but thats it..will i need male to male single RCA cable or this should work?
correct my mistakes..
by the way, all other speakers are working fine..and tell you that its a magnificent piece..and worth almost double the cost..whatever I have heard upto 50,000( 5.1 systems) and this beats them all..especially center speaker is gem of all..
dialogues are so clear...instruments have lots of depth...sound is neutral and open..
very glad to have it..
this system is upto the expectations..and deserve the appreciation it is getting worldwide..
highly recommended for budget audiophiles..

Yamaha 671 cost me approx Rs 35,000 and the Pioneer SP-PK51FS was for 41k. These are both 110V versions and one would need a step down converter. By the way the dealer gave me the step down converter for free as the the waiting period extended more than what had been promised. Small things like these have earned that guy my respect
Btw the Bookshelf version Pioneer SP-PK21BS is for 32k.

Thanks for the kind words folks. I am going out of town for three weeks in a couple of days so would try and post a review before I leave but in case am not able to then that's the first thing that I would do once I return to Mumbai.

Thats very high price considering its 110V US model.Asian one is available for 37k in grey.But I will recommend US models over asian,why?Pls.read here-

Thats a very interesting read. Never knew the differences between the US versions and Asian one was this extreme. Glad I made the right choice. As for the price it's with a Bill and Warranty of one year from the dealer so I am one happy camper

I haven't yet connected the subwoofer to the AVR. Truth is I am pretty impressed with the bass performance of the speakers so haven't really felt the need as far as music is concerned. I guess I would connect it once I return from my vacation after couple of weeks !

This solves my query..
I too enjoy music without sub and its wonderful..I think for normal music listening, I don't require sub..but I did try to connect sub with AVR and unsuccessful and fearing whether anything wrong with sub...!!!!

my sub is working fine with digital coaxial cable..thanks to all members..
to be honest as expected it is weakest link in entire speaker system..I don't have complains as I am not after earthshaking bass..
It actually blends very well with rest speakers and do not let you feel 'only bass,bass and bass'..
I am happy with these speakers and just love them..

Yes..it is like that only..I have paid like this only..
But don't worry..these accounts are their own accounts and as I wrote earlier somewhere, they paid for me in advance as I was not able to submit the advance in their account before due date as HSBC was far away from my home, they gave me alternate account, paid for me and even sent me electronic in voice by mail before actually paying a single panny...

Now I think they started accepting PayPal. Why not use this option to pay them the safe option in my opinion. If you have any dispute you can raise it with PayPal and get the refund done.
