Yamaha HTR 5830...Worth anything? Or a junk

My bro had got HTR 5830 few years back and its not being used.

Was thinking of using it however it does not have HDMI input or output....

Is it outdated and can I fetch some price for it....or should I use it instead of buying a new HT

the price you get selling this...will be very low.better is using it suppose with hd stb and with optical/coax audio line....as the hd stbs send only dolby digital also via spdif....so i think for that purpose this reciever is good enough.

That's buddy,,,even if I get 8 or 9 k ...m happy...I have a JBL system with me already...not sure if that's too high

you can use it as a dedicated music set up.well thats my opinion entirely..no offence.
actually any old stuff is like old jeans to me.cant discard...hehe
