Is there a Yamaha Receiver Service Center in Bangalore?

Kindly Provide a Name, Address and Contact Number

What's wrong with the AVR? How old was it? Till now there's been very less posts about receiver repairs here. And all of a sudden today I saw two posts about Denon and Yamaha repairs !

Wondering which is less prone to issues and how good are they at servicing.

Just wanted to post an update here if someone reaches here searching for Yamaha service centers....

I recently called Mr. Kamath and learnt that he is not longer associated with Yamaha...in fact he has moved on from AV altogether...

Will update the current addresses as soon as I hear from Yamaha Service Rep.

Need urgent help - my AVR was purchased from US. Something went wrong probably with the voltage converter which caused damages (smokes came out of the AVR) to the receiver.

Need the contact details of Yamaha authorized service center in Bangalore where I can get it fixed - apprehending that most likely the txr inside and AC2DC converter would be impacted.

Also, once this gets repaired, what's the recommended voltage converter for 500VA AVR and from where can I purchase it?

Sadly my yamaha rx-v375 died this weekend. Was playing fine previous night and no overheating as well. Just did not power on next day. No lights at all, no response. Submitted to ARN syatems (AHA technologies as per yamaha service center list) netaji road bangalore. The service center trying to find out which component is dead. As per them seems issue because of voltage spike. The protection circuit is intact and passed on the damage to board which would be costly to get replaced approx 10k. They are trying to drill down to component. Will keep posted about service experience.

The address is as posted in a previous post "arn systems pvt ltd 32-1, netaji road, fraser town, bengaluru 560005 +91- 80- 41459999 / 41289378"

Thanks "arch82002". Since the previous post where the address was given was dated back in 2013, I was unsure if that's still valid address or not.

Any idea if the other address will service AVR or not - that'll be little closer for me.

The thomson music house is listed in AVR service centres on yamaha website. They should accept AVR for servicing. Better call them up once before starting at 080-42401010

Friends is there any thread to share or discuss service center experiences?
The thread would help immensely in deciding where to get our AV equipments repaired.

Just an update, might help people in need. Today I got my AVR back and repaired well by ARN systems, working fine :yahoo:.
There was some issue with power supply as I was suspecting, was my fault I think, had plugged in surge protector while it was already powered on with TV running from the same.

I feel it is safe to connect AVR to a another surge protector so that TV, AVR and other components will not cause too much load..

Thanks for pointing, will separate the TV and DTH from receiver and subwoofer.
I guess receiver and subwoofer in one power strip should be ok.

Got repaired mine from Thomson Music Center. A pair of capacitors had to be changed - was charged 2600/- for that (w/o bill). Not sure if the charges are OK or not (as my avr is purchased from US, it's anyway out of warranty - so I's left with no other option). Otherwise service is good.

The service center guy told me they keep getting complain against the Frazer Town service center - not sure if this is true or not.

Good to know that it is fine now :)

Not sure about complaints part, was first experience with Frazer town service center, good though (I hope no more visits to any). They repaired mine well and was Rs.2800 with bill. I asked him exactly what was wrong with power supply but did not get an exact answer. Anyways was working fine and I was happy.

Great - yes why worry when things are working :)
The guy at Thomson looked otherwise fine.
It'll be great if someone shares the feedback about the service center at Jaynagar as well.

It is good that Yamaha India is doing service for purchases out of India. Heard Onkyo India will not even check it!
