Hello All,

When i connect Yamaha receiver connect to power and switch on, home power trips off.please advice its problem with AV receive or AV receiver has gone bad? it was working fine till yesterday.

Did you try changing the power source(mains) socket ?
Which Yamaha receiver are we talking about ?

Hi

It seems that the protection circuit is getting activated....which means something is not connected properly or the AVR has some issue.

Try another outlet...if the same thing then something is wrong

My Receiver is yamah tsr 7790 which i got it from US and have connected the AV Receiver to isolation step-down transfomer,what is protection circuit is getting activated how to rectify it.please advice.

Hi

Have you tried in another electric point? Is the step down transformer giving issues? Does it need to be changed?

Take it to your neighbour's house, connect it there and check it.

Or if you have a friend close by living in the next street or block, best to check it there.

At least it will let you know, if there is a problem with the AVR or whether it is your electricity grid, which is the problem.
