Please read more about my requirements here https://www.hifivision.com/threads/require-avr-advice-for-movies.83540/

I looked for the Denon receivers today but it seems they are in very short supply for some reason. I did have a very good experience with Denon in my past purchase but I think it is not worth so much hassle trying to buy one from them only. I am even more worried about the after sales with them, a company that is not willing to sell their product, how keen would they be to repair my product if something goes wrong.

Sorry for the short rant. Long story short, the Yamaha ones look decent and are available at multiple places quite easily. I am going to use these with the spearkers I already have: Boston Acoustics SoundWareXS5.1B 5.1 Speaker System (Black) speakers.

1. What are the major differences in both models that I should worry about?
I have gone through the spec sheet but couldnt find many differences. In fact the Yamaha one has earc and given that I am planning to buy a high end tv with earc this year maybe relevant here

2. Assuming that Denon was available easily which one would you recommend?
The Marantz PM7000N offers big, spacious and insightful sound, class-leading clarity and a solid streaming platform in a award winning package.
