2.1 channel satelite

am planning on pairing the bose acoustimass 5 with a denon 1911 or onkyo 608
i usage will be only for music(rock,70's80's pop)
are there better satelite speakers under 30k
pls suggest
also pls suggest one of the abv amps

Akshay there are way better systems than Bose, they are way overpriced and that is why you dont hear a lot about Bose on Audiophile forums

Search for Bose speaker specifications and you will not find any. they are tight lipped about specs. etc etc
they are way overpriced and you are basically paying for marketing. However they do make some decent products as well like the Bose 201/301/901.

With a budget of 30k ,

You could look at the Wharfedale 9.1 / 10.1 couple with a subwoofer like the SW150

This will sound a million times better than the Bose for your genre of music

However they are mid sized bookshelves and not tiny little plastic cubes like the Bose.

there are a lot of other companies/speakers as well, research and audition


IMO dont even touch Bose with a Barge pole
