One of my friends is looking for a stereo to connect to his TV for music shows. His ask is simple use the HDMI ARC of his smart TV OR Optical out to connect to a 2 channel amp which he can connect to his FS speakers. these are DIY and go down to 50 hz and need only 30-40 W
he would also want it to listen to steaming music from his phone

What are the options around 50K for this ..WiiM was one option but are there any other good ones you can suggest ?

What's the difference between HDMI Arc and optical 💿 out? In terms of sound quality

Arj sir.. an AVR, especially an older version usually has optical in. Some of them are good for two channel listening 🎧 too
They dont have streaming and why buy 5 channel when you can get 2 :) they look big as well
At this point WiiM looks like the only option. Others are more expensive

The Marantz NR1200 was available around the 55k mark some time back. Online price higher now. Its discontinued so any leftover stock should be available around the older price. Two channel plus basic streaming with HDMI
