Hello Folks,

Way back in Dec 2009, I was trying to compare 2-connection options from various DTH operators, and here are the results ...

Before you read-on:

1. The prices are almost 10 months old
2. The STB offered those days were SD only - but the channel package prices haven't changed much (I presume)
3. Packages considered have almost all channels offered - see details below
3. There could be errors - I was never good at Maths ;) - see sl. no.

If you are ready to view same program in two rooms through split RCA cable or RF cable or one RCA and one RF cable, that is legal and does not amount to hacking.

How will you control the STB from another room?
Use a simple IR repeater, this is what I am doing, using Terk IR repeater.

Of course, even then we would only be able watch the same channel in both sets, isn't it? albeit with the convenience of not having to run back every time you want to change channels
