3D Projector - Epson tw 550 vs Epson tw 5200 vs Benq 1070

Hi everyone,

I was planning to buy a 3D projector. I have shortlisted three projectors. Does anyone have these projectors ?

If yes, Please let me have your views on it regarding picture quality - 2d and 3d, brightness, color reproduction etc.

Hi Ritu,

The comparison of your projectors is of different standards. The Epson EH-TW550 is 720p projector while the other two are full HD 1080p projectors.

Epson EH-TW 5200 is a 3LCD projector while the Benq 1070 is a DLP projector, so all 3 are of different types.

I have the Epson EH-TW 5200 projector and am totally satisfied with it. you can read my post HERE.

Besides the good news is that WHAT-HIFI has rated the Epson EH-TW5200 a 5 star for its performance and i totally agree with it. Here is the REVIEW.

Ritu - are you planning to buy it in India or get it from US? If it is US then go for Epson 2000 which will cost you ~ $750 including taxes on amazon. You may read my review here

This projector is compared with the EH-TW5910 and not the TW2000 though the specs are similar... however that too is a good choice.

Epson TW5200 is sold under 80K now in India with 2 year warranty under Hifivision GOSF:

No mention of 3D glasses (if and how many) though.
