hi, i need to buy a good HT setup under 35k. initially i was looking at the commercial samsung or sony systems but now planning to go in for high end stuff. I am looking at onkyo, jamo and jbl HT systems and i am very confused. I would be happy if i get something great in 35k max but if i get something extra-ordinary i can stretch my budget till 40k. So please all the gurus and audiophiles suggest me a good system in this budget and the best place to buy one in delhi/NCR . after some suggestions i'll start auditioning them.

hi, thanks for the info, i'll surely contact this person. Is he a dealer of high end HT systems. Also i got a quote of around 44k for Onkyo HT728 5.1 speakers and onkyo SR307 AV reciever. I got this quote on phone and i would be going there tommorow and have a demo and then decide on it. Is the price ok and how are these speakers in terms of performance and value. I would try to get the price down to 40k if i really like them. i got the quote from Snob shop in MGF metro mall in gurgaon. Do you think this price can get me better systems in any other brand? I'll be using them for mainly movies/gaming and a bit of music during house parties.

snob shop sadly dosnt keep much stock of anything apart from onkyo klipsch and couple of other brands.

Dont worry Bass n Treble is one of the most trusted HIFI dealers in Delhi and on this forum.
Go and audition first and there is no reason that you will not pick from the good range of brands and combinations they have.

you will have to stretch it to 40-45k to get a decent setup..
for 35k the best u can manage is a onkyo/yamaha/denon HTIB which is not recommended for music listening
denon 1610/ yam 465/ pioneer/ HK = 15k-20k
sirrico 5.1 / jamo / mission/ wharfe moviestar/ energy 5.1 = 30k

Once you go to Denny, just tell him your budget clearly if it is 35 till 45 max ..and do tell him that in this money, you need cables as well. Cables always come at an extra cost unless dealers have a fat margin or else provide very inferior quality cables.
Do tell him that you are from Hifi Vision forum, so that he keeps the pricing competitive for you as HFV has given him decent business i believe.

u can go for onkyo amazer which is a 7.1 setup...awesome sound quality...
it is available for 40k now....its too good for the price...
