Denon 2311 + Qacoustic 1010 pack for 1 to 1.2Lakhs.
Denon 1911 + Q-aco = less than lakhs.

Onkyo 608 + same pack = 1lakhs.

Other spk can be from wharfedale.

I have pretty confident on buying Denon 2311 AVR, rest about the speakers i have planned to get Q Acoustic 2000 series. Can you direct me if any better speakers can be bought in the same price range?

BS spk are mainly used with priority to movies OR space is the problem from music listening.Mini are compromised form.
towers are any time gr8 for both.
I read today Wharfedale Obsidian 600 cinema pack for Rs.43000 without SUb,but with Towers.(contact DAC)

Wharfedale Obsidian does not show on their official site, where did you get this information.

what have you heard so far and opinions on them. what do you see and listen. Otherwise you will get way too many suggestions - and every suggestion is going to cost you Rs 10/- unless you search the forum.

i can afford for FLR standing front speakers and may be bookshelf for the rear.

Usually powerful AVR comes with 7.2.If you need 5.1 then Denon 1611 which is less powerful.

I have planned to buy a home theatre 5.1 speaker set up along with AVR for around 1.7 lakhs.

I am pretty confident in buying Denon 2311.

Now i got really stuck in choosing the speakers.

I have 2 options possibly in my mind,

Option 1:

I'm havin a 70k budget and I'm thinkin of getting a Def Tech procinema 800 without the sub, a yamaha rx-467 and a xonar d2x sound card for my small room (all included in the budget). Later when my budget permits i'll add a sub...so what do u guys think abt it....any suggestions are gladly appreciated.

Do buy a sub if movie watching is the prime objective. Spend less on speakers if thats the constraint or consider buying a used sub.

I have already purchased sony 42" LCD TV and now want to purchase good home theatre. I was about to purchase Bose home theatre with those wonderfull jewel speakers at Furum mall in bangalore and came to know about this site and i have decided to wait. I had demo of Bose. The system looks superb only problme is price. i felt 2 lakhs + is too much. this thread is usefull to me. thanks every one.

Thank you, i'll definitely consider that. Its just that...seeing so many raves abt procinema series, I've decided to check them out. I'm gng to lakozy next weekend to audition them. I'll check how these speakers will do without a sub.
And suggestions abt where to find details abt used subs?

gurunmp....Don't go with bose. They are ridiculously overpriced. With 2 Lakhs budget....u can get way better speakers than bose.
