Hi All, :)
I would like to get suggestions from the experts about good quality 5.1 speakers for Denon X500. Budget is 40K. (Powerful Bass required). :):):)

Hi,

There are plenty of 5.1 speakers in that budget (40K), perhaps if you extend it by another 10-15K you can assemble your 5.1. There are two options my friend, either go for a 5.1 package or choose individual speakers (front bookshelves, center, rear and finally SUB). When you mention power full bass, do you mean boomy? How big is your room and would the speakers be used mostly for music or movies?

Regards
Rajiv

Hi Rajiv,

Thanks for the reply.....The room is under construction of size....18ft * 12ft. Bass in the sense Powerful...deep bass ..not boomy. Budget is limited. I auditioned the Polk audio Product- PROFX

Mainly for Movies....(80% Movies+ 20%Songs) What is your opinion. ....?

AFAIK Polk is not known for deep bass, I auditioned JBL recently 5.1 system and it was fairly decent with good deep bass.

I use a Yamaha YHT-196 HTIB setup, for deeper bass I use an active Pioneer Sub-woofer. Moreover what is your amplifier to drive the speakers, do you have a receiver.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
