A friend of mine purchased a Garraard Zero Hundred going cheap but found out that it is having 60 hertz pully. Can he get 50 hertz fully somewhere locally?

If you know what should be the spindle diameter for 50 Hz it should be quite possible to machine a new one. Everything except pulley diameter will be same as current one.

I once bought a TT to find that the previous owner had jugaaded his 60hz pulley to 50hz using some fine string and glue to increase the diameter :D

I suppose it could work as a stop gap!

As a stop gap arrangement, you can use cello tape to thicken the pulley to the required speed. It will work .
