All - I have used my PJ now for more than 40 hours.. and I have some issues that I have noted down below.
- There is a running wrinkle horizontally across the screen (I am not sure how to best describe it, more like a running line which distorts the image - you will notice it when you try to find it) when I attach my PJ to my ASUS laptop i7, 2nd Gen processor). But when I connect it to my PS3 it works fine and there is no such issue.
Couple of reasons could be -
- My apartment has got a bit if power/voltage issues so might be low voltage issues.
- My laptop or VLC/POT Player is not able to handle MKV files. This can also be an issue
3D Issue -
When I try to watch SBS 3D videos (via the laptop) the PJ does not automatically change it and I am doing it manually by selecting the right option and once I change the option. The signal disconnects from the laptop and then there is no signal to the projector again maybe my laptop is not able to manage this kind of content or maybe VLC player/POT player issues ? I get no Video Output and the only option is to disconnect the HDMI cable and change it again for 2D output...
But the moment I try playing it from my PS3 - all superb
Can some fellow FMs pls post their thoughts ?

Are you using the same cable from laptop to pj and ps to pj
I had similar issues where my hdmi.cable could only handle more than 60hz. After putting good quality cable everything worked fine.
Also check the laptop resolution. Works best with 1280 x 720 120hz resolution.
I still struggle getting 3d on tmt. However pot player works flawless.

Is your laptop connected to power while playing if that's the case it could be a surge/spike which is getting propagated to ur PJ..

Finally my projector is here. They delivered 2 days prior to the schedule and I am absolutely thrilled!!
I received it at my office address. Couldnt wait, did unpacking and testing in my conference room
Oh Boy!! What clarity Still cant believe such a high quality of projector!! 150" screen is so affordable
For benefit of all, I ordered it thru Amazon at list price of USD 451, with Import fees (customs), I paid total USD 601 (INR 39,050)
After my D90 with 18-200 Nikkor... I think this is my best purchase till date

Yes, giving demos to the beloved members is really good to take decisions on them. They can really have a look at the options and how it does the job well before buying as there is no auditioning places available in showrooms for this projector. People are welcome to have audition in Chennai. This is one of my best purchases ever.:licklips:
