I have bought some Acoustic Foam from Bajaao. At first I tried to stick it to the wall with Velcro. But after some time all the foams fell apart from the wall. Now I have bought some Plywood and I have a plan to fix the foam on the Plywood board with glue adhesive and hang the PW board on the wall near to the first reflection point. Please help me with your opinion about my plan. Thanks.

Put the foam on the plywood - and frame it like a photo frame, need not to be glued. The foam can be easily taken out and put in the frame. Looking of the board and frame also will be good in your desired shade of colour. you can add additional wooden ribs to hold the foam.

I have already glued the foam on the PW board. Is there any harm by doing this? (One of my friend said that the sound will die, if we glue the foam completely on a board) Is it true. Please help me to know the fact.

If you have used thicker size foam, then the sound will not be affected by glued it backside. You can check the sound with foam panels and also without the thing to hear the difference. Room (L shaped)corners also to be treated. Ceiling and the Floor will contribute regarding the reflection.

I thought that you could use an airgap behind the to effectively increase the thickness of your absorber

Measure first. My big mistake was measuring only after I had positioned my panels

You may / not need to be worried about corners/ ceiling/ floor if the goal is to have a reflection free zone.

The way to make sure is acoustic string.
