Adding shaggy rug on hard floor

My dark gray carpet costed me some 1.5k for 10x11 room. It is very thin. Does the job. I don’t have high frequency lingering issues in my room. Anyday better than tiles or granite in my case.

Black is fine. Brown is fine too as it doesn’t reflect light much and in a dark room you are unlikely to notice it. Don’t go for light colors.

FINALLY shaggy rug arrived. My hand is already giving pain its too heavy 22kg black 8x10feet

Regarding expectations from any rug or carpet on the sound quality. I understand they will be able to absorb only a little of the highest frequencies depending on their thickness and density.
I do use a rug for aesthetic and tactile pleasure.

its 1.5 inches thick. I think it made my bass bad its like hollow bass bhum bhum. Maybe rug did this? Possible? I sold 2000 pro sub and now running speakers as full range
