I recently purchased a SB-15(Harmon Kardon) soundbar for my family room which is small and I didn't want clutter therefore the choice. Obviously it has its limitations, I would like to get your advice on certain aspects related to the sound as I am a novice. I have a blu-ray player with HDTV in addition to the sound bar. I use the sound bar while watching movies. My query is as following.
While the sound bar performs great when there are action scenes and background score, the sound is rather feeble in comparison when there are dialogues. I have raise up the volume to listen to the dialogues and keep it lower when there is an action scene. I am not sure what setting can be changed to improve this situation. I was made to understand it has something to do with the movies letting out sound in 5.1 CH while my soundbar is clearly not meant for that. Do you have any advice to help me make this situation better? Thank you.
