Off-Topic Question.

Does connecting from the Tv to AVR thru thru the Optical Cable send only 2 channel signals.

I am playing my BR Rip movies from the Samsung TV directly and it the sound is heard only in the center/front speakers. No rear speakers effect.
whereas
when i view movies (thru cable/set top box to AVR to TV), all 5 speakers work as expected.

From TV is the audio output only 2 channel?

Samsung TV only supports 2 channel digital output for some STRANGE reason! So you need to connect directly to the BR or STB to get multichannel audio.
