There's this little horn riff stuck in my head for days. It's like the hook of all hooks if you were alive in the '70's. Whole song--a little funk, a little R&B, but kinda jazz.
Maybe it's a "you had to be there" sort of thing, but it just evokes so much of the '70's and pieces of it could be from so many of those old TV show themes from then. Anyway, the band is decidedly not a jazz band but issued this "compilation"
album. I haven't even heard it all, yet, to my knowledge and just found the whole thing on YT.
The song in particular is Duji, which I somehow (funk-hopping) tripped on a really, really poor mp3 of at the
wayback. Yet, sitting at the keyboard, I found myself leaving the thing on loop a couple times. Today, I wake up and it's in my head before I opened my eyes
