There are a couple of jazz playlists I listen to Spotify a lot. They are curated and not generated based on your listening history etc. -

I can easliy cast it over spotify connect to pretty much any device or amp in the house, and the sound quality is excellent. Spotify introduced me to many artists I would never have ventured to on my own, so its well worth a listen just for that.

Absolutely agree! I quite like Spotify quality

Nice list! From Jimmy Smith to Rudresh Mahantappa is a lot of ground! Who are your favorites?

@ 50/50

Coltrane (surprise!), Miles, Monk and Mingus are my all time favourites.
Have a ton of albums by each; but I'm sure most here will already be familiar with them.

Searching for Jazz playlists, I looked at offerings on gaana.com. Not much there, as could probably be expected, though they have quite a collection of Jazz albums.
A Bollywood jazz playlist caught my attention. Some good music there. Different, definitely, from regular Jazz, though.

One surprising omission is "Kaisi Paheli" from Parineeta.
Got me thinking. There have to be many more Jazz style numbers in Bollywood. Anyone?

Bill Lasswell has done some pretty interesting mashups with the music of Bob Marley and Miles Davis, but this is the one I keep returning to: a sonic gumbo with Santana, McLaughlin and Alice Coltrane as the main ingredients. Sumptuous!
