Good Kaushik, stick to non glowing logos to avoid EMI.

hi santhol2,

the crossovers are expected this wednesday - i will be using the same drivers from the witches of sound - so i expect by next weekend (not this sunday - the 2nd sunday from now) the job should be done.

OMG!!!!OMG! the most high directed the silversmith to finish his work and hand over the binding posts to me - and then the most high directed me to take pictures and post them here - here they are -

they are made of "pure velli" (pure silver in malayalam) - strengthened at the neck and clamping points with with alloy -

the black wing nuts and threaded rod are black-painted steel-

the larger one (female) is mounted on the loudspeaker and accepts the wire to cross-over - this is the binding post

the smaller (male) accepts the loudspeaker wire from the amplifier -

the wires are to be splayed on the surfaces of the plates and silver solder (4%) to be applied -

the two plates are then mated - the threaded rod is passed thru the center and pressure clamped using the wing nuts,

i am very excited!!:)

pretty cool way to do a joint suri! very innovative design i must say. can imagine the contact to be better than regular posts.

Suri
Great imagination and implementation. This radical new design looks very good.

hi stevieboy - seemed to me that most of the problems with contacts occur at the points where the wires attach to the binding posts and use the metal of the binding posts to conduct the current between them - eliminating those two junctions can only do good!
