Hi Friends,
Recently I had these dissimilar pairs of 416A & 416-8B. The challenge was to make them look alike as matched pairs ..... physically and technically.
It all started with stripping out the old paint to re- painting them. Followed by re-magnetizing them to the factory original specs 11,000 gauss. Replacement of old terminals. Followed by the recone process using the all original 416 -8B recone parts till the final completion with the edge surround treatment and cork gasket attachment.

Great work!!! Hope you get them to original condition

I came across a pair of Altec 416A for sale today.
It seems that still today these are into existence and are discarded by users due to poor availablity of service and parts.
