Do you listen to them sometimes?I still have all my old cassettes from the 80s![]()
There are many who still listen to cassettes. Maintaining a huge collection of cassettes is cheaper to start with. I have been told that you get that analogue feel when listening to cassettes. I had never heard cassettes before. But when I heard them for the first time, I liked them and on advice of some senior member of this forum, I have procured Nakamichi Deck and a lot of 3000 cassettes. Since I am new into vinyls also (Procuring the records first), due to steep cost of vinyl records, I can maintain small collection of vinyls. Combined stock of cassettes and vinyl records will enable me to have a good degree of source material as well as be light on budget.Do you listen to them sometimes?
Yes, I listen to them regularly. In fact I recently purchased a collection of around 200 mix tapes recorded in the 80s, however I don't know what kind of condition the tapes are in or if the person has recorded them properly. I'll find out once it arrives let's hope for the best. Also bought some blank metal cassettes to record on. I also still have all my old cds which I purchased in the 80s and 90's.Do you listen to them sometimes?

They are still in paper cartoon boxes (as received). I was planning to have a discussion with any LP collector or cassette collector to figure out how to store them and use.3000 cassettes is massive
How do you store so many cassettes?
Can we still get the blank cassettes on which recording can be done? Information of any reliable source for procurement will be helpful.I listen mostly to cassettes. I have recorded a lot of LPs into cassettes. The reproduction is 100% as my Nakamichi BX300 is just outstanding. Cassettes are much more convenient and a lot of fun too.
This is for the first time in my life that I have procured physical media for listening.
