i'm just saying that an analog audio-signal carrying wire needs to be protected from random electromagnetic radiation that's all around us, and therefore wrapping the signal-conductor in tin foil saves the day.. if the foil is grounded

That’s much easier for me to understandshielded and grounded.

I examined the cable again and can not make out any way it is grounded as they are terminated with banana plugs. Incidentally these banana plugs were added by Mr. Murthy, the topic of the OP!

Seems like all audio cable tales lead back to Mr. Murthy nowadays?
