Hi,

I too had been looking for such CD of Tamil Movies released between 1990 and 2000. I went to Planet M and Landmark and asked them specifically based on old movie names. Suprisingly they opened up a set of lockers below the shelves meant to put old CD's away and was able to pick up 10 such movies..

Try your luck at these stores, but i have no clue how its in Bombay / Delhi.. I did this in Bangalore

You can get the old cd's of A.R Rahman from this website.. the cd's are not listed here.. but just call the phone number given there and they should be able to get the cd's for you.. as you can see in the front page.. they have listed the roja hindi audio cd for me.. and also saathiya.. i previously bought the original roja from laahari from this guy.. when you call please mention that you are reffered by Balasubramaniyam from mylapore, chennai.. I am sure you will get special preference.. thanks guys.. let me know if you need any thing else.. i am in the process of collecting the entire rahman collection.. i am having a tough time to collect ilayaraja cd's let me know if you have any solution..

Most of the ARR Tamil audio CD I have purchased from 600024.com are from Aditya music, we need to contact them for the titles which are not available.

How good are the tracks from Aditya music, is it as good as the original ones?

Yes Sandeepss, it is absolutely reliable, I paid using credit card. Their customer service is also good, I had given them a call to check the delivery status, and they very responsive.

Though I have not heard the original ones from pyramid but I found the quality of the Aditya music CD's is pretty good.

I have a Marantz CD4000 in which i am not able to play the GodFather 5.1 got from 600024.com..i tried to rip the cd and still the same thing... i don't know what to do futher.. the cd is still idle..

These 5.1 CDs sound just like normal stereo cds when played in 2 channel speaker systems. I would say some of these 5.1 DTS CDs have better clarity and deeper bass even when you play in 2 channel mode.

If you connect your CD player to you AV receiver with an optical or coaxial connection cable and if your AV Receiver supports DTS decoding then you can play the DTS CD just fine. Also media players like PowerDVD can play these DTS 5.1 CD in your PC.

600024.com, These are actually DTS 5.1 CDs and not DVDs, the labeling on these CDs some times make people believe that these are DVDs. I am also looking forward to ordering some stuff from your site and I just realised that you now offer COD, so thumbs up for that :thumbsup:

Buying High rez/flac downloads similar to hdtracks for indian titles will be great , may be the market has not evolved. Itunes indian store also provides only 256kbps downloads , so better to stay away from them

My way of getting the Hi-res is to get the bluray and rip the audio out of it. The funny part is, even though the tamil titles say DTS-HD, they just use the DTS core. There would not be any difference if i extract the DTS-HD and DTS core. You can then convert the DTS to stereo flac. The result would be some where around 4300kbps 6 channel audio. If i convert it into stereo fpr my PMP, it would be around 1500kbps@48KHz which is better than CD quality. Flac directly from CD would be less than 1000kbps@44KHz.
