Any views on Dell M115HD?

I am fine with 450 lumens. but what about reliability.. ? is it repairable if fault occurred, because of small size? if led bulb damage due any reason. is it replaceable like high lumens bulb ?

More than the repairability because of the small size, I would worry about if the manufacturer stops manufacturing the spares for the equipment. This is in vogue since last few years. Most manufacturers support a product for a max of 4-5 years; that too if one is lucky. If you manage to find spares after this time, consider this as reincarnation for your equipment.

What I have read, if LED fails, it is repairable by way of replacement of the light source (LEDs), but the ball is in manufacturer's court since it is their prerogative to provide the spares. If the spares are not available, I don't think there is much one would be able to do. My Sony Discman is just lying uselessly because of a failed flexible flat cable.

Usually LED projectors are use and throw. I have not seen major distributors talking about LED lamp replacement, as usually they are marked for 20,000 hrs of use which will not be an issue for you. If you are convinced with the lumens and if your primary use is not for HT, go for it. Since it is Dell, there will be a minimum guarantee and in case of any issue, you may be able to check with Dell on how to get support.

Thanks for reply. My primary use is to watch HD TV channel using dish tv HD box and secondary use to watch Movies from Laptop only. 3d is not important for me. My budget is Max 40-45K. So what is your opinion for DELL M115HD, will be fine according to my usage.? OR You suggest other model according to my budget.

at this budget most of the people in this forum suggest Acer H5370BD, another option is Epson eh tw 480 with this price range.

Epson EH TW 480.

- What is frequency for filter change ? what is cost for filter?
- Bulb Cost ?
- What type of other maintenance require for LCD based projector?

Acer H5370BD

- If I seen Rainbow effect? Is it still viewable?
- Which Technology smooth/good for eye? DLP or LCD?
- Bulb Cost?
- Without warranty if buy from amazon.com. How much it is risky?

Since you have decided for an LED based projector, LG PA70G (700 lumens) is available for $349 from frys.com. If you have a means to get it from US, it will come around 21k only with more than 50% brightness
