hi members,

i am interesting in buying wharfedale diamond 121.. i am from tamil nadu.. i asked several wharfedale dealers in TN and bangalore.. no stores offer demo listening...

if anybody experienced this pairs, just share opinions...

i am already listening kef q300... this is awesome speakers but bit big for my room.. some reviews said that wharfedale`s sounds big even the speaker sizes are small..

do i expect equal sound clarity of wharfes to kef q300 in minimum sounds?

any opinions?

The Q300 is better, a lot better. Have heard the 121 at the wharf dist place at tardeo and whilst they aint bad, the Q300 is better, ofcourse expensive by 10k too...

thanks edge111hussain... reviews said that wharfedale`s are excellent..i dont need too big sound speakers like q300 but i would like substantial for medium size room.. for that i expect that wharfe`s will do best?

I read the reviews too and hence i had gone for a demo a couple of months back. The thing is, that the speakers aint bad, just that they didnt have that oomph factor in em. I enjoyed the 10.2 a lot more. Saying that the mids on the 121 were a lot better. Still didnt do it for me. See i like my speakers to be a bit aggressive, and the 121 were a tad too laid back for me. Others in reckoning were the q-300, paradigm monitors, psb b6 and in comparision to these, the 121 fell behind.
A lot of folks around here recommend the monitor audio BS too in d ard 20k range. bx2 i think, try to audition those if possible. Havent heard them myself so cant really comment on the same.
