In Kerala I hear that a lot of people use Old AVRs in two channel model as stereo amplifiers? Any truth to this hear say ?I know people, who bought the Avr for a home theatre. Then added streamers and upgraded speakers for music.

Im using my old avr as dac + amp. In my case, i bought it 14-15y ago initially for watching movies. I know a few like that. But many also prefer soundbars.

But kerala has like 1 cr homes. So cannot speak for everyone.
