Apple I Phone 4G.

White Iphone 4 is yet to be launched and my guess is it may be released somewhere middle of next year. I believe a specific engineering issue is delaying the launch of white iphone. I own a black 16GB iphone 4 which is way much better than 3GS. Its worth every penny. Go for it.

Pray what is so good about it?

of course, the white phone is superior to the black phone-

i would definitely buy a white nokia 1100 and avoid the black one -

i mean - how does the black one cross the road at night- and not get killed? -

I believe the colour choice would be dictated by whether your 33K is black or white. No wonder you don't see too many white iPhones:)

As far as the technical specifications are considered, both White and Black iPhone 4G are the same. It is just matter of choice. That said, apple designers are trying to make some internal changes with the same components for better signal reception. However in my opinion, the onus lies with the service provider.

iPhone4 is superior mainly due to its display which is retina panel. Only other display that can match is the Super AMOLED of Samsung Galaxy and Wave. Retina glass has the advantage of being scratch proof to a large extent. I was tied between Galaxy and iPhone 4. But in the last, the size of iPhone 4 won me over.

Considering FX rates, cheaper to buy from Singapore. Link below says factory unlocked and will work internationally with any carrier:

iPhone 4 & iPhone 3GS - Apple Store (Singapore)

hey, i already picked up one from the US at full price, app's jailbreak is done but waiting for the carrier unlock. This is a very stupid rule in US, even after paying in full we do not get the unocked version:mad:

thanks
cheers.

What version of IOS are you running? Has it been jailbroken yet?

As far as I know, 4.1.0 still does not have an unlock. Think even sud98 is stuck on 4.1. Just a matter of time, till then use it as an expensive iPod:). I have been through a 3 month wait on OS Version 3.1.3. Luckily IOS4 was released and working without any issues.

If you are on Version 4.0, 4.0.1 or 4.0.2s you can unlock using ultransn0w. If the unlock still does not work, installing the Hactivation patch from Pushfix.info should fix it. I am running a 3G and a 3GS(wifey's) on 4.0 with no issues.

Yeah, it's v 4.1, and jailbreak for apps is done and waiting for carrier unlock.

hi one small query, is the iphone 4 factory unlocked if you buy at full price in Australia???

thanks.
@aneelr: Yes, you can buy a iPhone 3GS at around 30k and iPhone 4 16Gb at 34k at apple store. All pieces bought outright are factory unlocked. Almost all the carriers here offer free unlock even if you take under contract from them. Its a win-win situation. I took mine under contract and unlocked it the same day. Unlike in US, there is no need now to jailbreak even if taken under contract as it can be unlocked for free anytime in Australia.

hey, that's cool option over there. The US is really stupid.
anyways thanks for the info

cheers.

I guess buying from S'pore is the cheapest and best option.
Also 4.1 is unlockable if your on baseband 1.59.00 and not on baseband 2.10.04.
An unlock for this baseband is supposedly on the way..
You can check which baseband you are on by going to Settings-General-About(Modem firmware displayed as baseband)

If your picking it from the apple store, the pricing is almost equal in all countries. I picked up mine for 30k in the US. In singapore's apple site it is selling at 31k. So I guess there is no much price variation if bought from an apple store directly.
