I also own a musical fidelity m1 dac and it has a regular power supply chord like an amp.
I just got an rdac and was surprised to find an anemic dc input power supply and a cheap looking adapator cable with the dac.
a lot of the users of the older rdac had pointed to the maplin vn10L as a cheap power supply upgrade for the rdac (in contrast to the more expensive options which cost half as much as the dac). Maplin 20W Switched Mode AC/DC Multi Voltage Power Supply | Maplin
the specs on the maplin power supply seem to match the irdacs power requirement which says '12 V DC 1.5A' (which is different from the older rdac). Arcam - irDAC - Digital to Analogue Converter
but would like confirmation from forum members about the compatibility.
also appreciate suggestions for other power supply options that I can choose from other than maplin - not the ultra expensive 'audiophiles' ones but more affordable choices.
appreciate the feedback.
