I think this says why design of dedicated home theater rooms are changing and NOT why people are moving away from Home Theater devices as the post title suggests.

Disagree with this article. Apart from some big brandname-dropping the author does not know WTH he/she is talking about?

IMO, a "dedicated" media room is dedicated for media and not for socialising. While it can be used for multiple tasks like music, gaming, movies etc, it is not for multitasking. It should be dedicated for one activity at a time.
