Audio CDs released by Oriental Records

As you may know oriental records has release alomost all the old Ilairaja songs. Its available in their website.

Any idea where I can get these cds in Bangalore or Chennai?

At present we dont have a stock of film c.ds and we are planning for production.



As soon as we get the stock we will inform you.

Landmark is hopeless dude. I had a heartbreak visiting it. Very sad. Piracy killed eveything. Music world is also closed down in Kerala and Bangalore.:sad:

At present Oriental Records do not have the rights to release Ilaiyaraaja's film albums, they have since been transferred to Agi Music. So you may get only the CDs from second hand goods dealers/ re-sellers. Also the quality of recording of these Oriental CDs are not upto the mark as compared to the ECHO Recording Company's LPs.

Flipkart has poor tamil collection. Is it possible to get directly from Agi music? ( I have sent them a mail anyways)

Agi music CD's are also difficult to find ...Try 600024.com ...most of them are listed there

Just 5 or 6 Audio cd's were released ... Recording Quality is very good ....if u get the title "LOVE KING" ...buy it ...mindblowing compilation of songs

mostly MP3's ...but the recording is 320KBPS unlike others which have 128 KBPS ...worth buying ... I have all the audio cds and MP3 CD's

Its unlikely that new audio cd's will be released ...the earlier ones released were sold at a discounted rates at various shops ...

Agi Music has released all that oriental had released and much more online ....long time back ...so its unlikely that Audio CD's will be out ..


In Chennai there is a shop called as NEW MUSIC INDIA below Adyar Bridge ...I had purchased more than 100 brand new oriental CD"s from him two years back and cleaned out his stock ..he has some left ...mostly compilations ...u can check to see if he can get old stocks from some where else ..he did that for me and got some rare titles like Mouna Raagam ...

I also got some old AVM titles like ..Sakallakala Vallavan and Thoongathe Thambi Thoongathey .....Recording Quality is awesome ...Ilamai Idho Idho ..........

Oriental Records Original CDs can be still bought from Welcome To Orientalrecords.com and Shrimati's Asian Indian Music and DVD Store on the Web - shrimati shrimatis cds cassettes videocd bollywood classical carnatic Of course the some titles might not be available.

Also keep checking OLX for used Oriental Records CDs which comes up for sale.

Oriental records sold out most of the titles shown in their webpage. very few titles only available and they have no idea to reprint. I inquired 14 titles but got only 9 titles (bought through my brother staying in virginia). :sad:
