Audio Note AN-E speakers

Dear Friends

In my quest for speaker upgrade, I stumbled upon AN-e series speakers (Audio Note) - thanks to various posts in this forum I have been digesting past few months, which gave this input, indirectly.

Believe these have been 'designed' to perform well in 'corner or near-wall' placement which is one of my priorities.

They have great positive press & user reviews and are available in various trims costing from low 1K+ to near-20K USD with supposed to be well matched low-power tube amps.

Now the hard part is that they don't have any distribution (yet) in India - checked with their owner Peter Qvortrup and believe their distribution plans are in the 'works'

So folks, any of our FMs have had any audition/usage experience for these AN-E series?

Hi AVM,
Not to go OT, but if you want to consider nearer to wall placement try to audition the ATC SCM series. They seem to work quite well closer to wall - though mind you not close to corners. I believe their top most sealed box would be the SM20 tower. Cinema Focus in Chennai is their distributor.

Hi Kvm

I have not heard the entry level AN speakers. Heard their mid and high end. They seem to prefer their own electronics. If you go AN, it's best to go AN all the way from electronics to speakers to cables. An all AN set up sounds very very good. But it comes at a huge cost

you could PM Dr.Bass in this forum..he has heard all their electronics/Speakers by AN to get a view

ATC: again - not sure how will they shine in near wall/ corner placements which, I believe, is a forte for AN speakers. Will however recheck with CF, Chennai - thanx.

All AN setup: very true; many users have vouched for mid-range AN-e Lexus coupled with Oto SE 10w pure Class A amplifier. They have a plethora of 'mix & match' options like silver internal cables, copper voice coils, vice versa etc. etc.

In the absence of D&D I was hoping to be 'lucky' to find a user in India where I can 'audition' and reconfirm their performance
