Audioengine A5 to Sony KDL HX750

I need help connecting the below mentioned equipment.I do not have an AV receiver.Do I need one ?

Take one of the analog outs of your TV (two on the back, one on the side) and connect it to one of the inputs (two sets of them) of A5.

Your manual also has instruction on how to connect your TV to external audio sources. It will give you a pictorial view of the same.
