The long wait is for a successful DIY project that Deserves a chassis costing INR 5000/- and more and say beats $1500 equivalent famous gear hands down on all counts .

Then I will certainly seek the skills of master craftsmen on this forum to add the finishing touches. hyeah:

The quality of any DAC depends upon what DAC chip it uses. There are many DAC chips that are 24bit/192Khz sampling rate. But other parameters also is important. Also the quality of the OP-AMP that is used after the DAC to amplify the analogue output from the DAC also decides the quality of DAC. The best option will be to download the service manual of the DAC and then try to identify the DAC & the OP-AMP used and to independently analyze the datasheets of the chips used to check the quality rather than going by these reviews which might be a paid article.
