Just a question sam9s. If I want to use the Windows 10 on Bootcamp for this, how will I be connecting the MacBook Pro with the AVR? I suppose not through HDMI?

Frankly brother I have never used bootcamp. But I am assuming when you have windows on mac the hardware works exactly like how it does under OSx. So what ever way you would connect mac with AVR while OSX is loaded, the same way it would be for windows ...

As I use it only for movies, I do it through HDMI. But that's a no-no for music isn't it?

I am very much interested. Few questions though
- Is it a permanent change? I have a beefy PC which i use for photoshop/gaming. I would need the optimization only for music
- JPlay also offering a similar optimization (100 pounds). Wonder which one is better.

Its not permanent as far as I know, the changes should revert if you un install the app, if that's what you asking, however I would not suggest it to use on any other PC except one dedicated for Music. Thats why I use VM Lab, I dont bother to have physical machines for any server/workstation I have to run. But for music PC on VM you have to do a lot more than running a normal VM. Anyway ....

You might as well go for a cheap modest PC with good audio gear running 2012 and Optimizer.

Can not comment on Jplay, but a quick google comparison make me more inclined towards Audiophile Optimizer.
