Sub's from HSU research and SVS are pretty gud from the reviews from the expert here,
u can consider VTF-2 MK4 and VTF-3 MK4 or VTF-15H from HSU

from SVS SB12-NSD, SB13-PLUS

Rythmik Audio F15 pretty impressive sub for music. got rave reviews from the western hemisphere.
Not available in India though. So you have to take the import route

Any idea of the prices of REL subs in India ?. How would they compare to HSU, SVS, Rythmik subs ?

sound & vision are the dealer in india. Jay is the person runnning it and maybe you can contact him ?
RELs are not about SPL and complement most main speakers very well..
Another good Sub is by Vandersteen, but not sure of availability in India

i have twin strata Vs which i did not buy from them but they were the Most helpful in getting me a great deal frm REL when i had problems with one of them

I am under the impression that for pure stereo music subwoofers will not play any part as there is no .1 channel to drive. Is my assumption incorrect?

Hi,
there were 2 interesting discussions on this aspect and am pasting those links.

Subs can also be connected via the speaker output. usually the inout resistance to the sub is ket so high that the amplifier needs to send only a very low signal to it and hence no impact on power out.

The REL T1 waas quoted at Rs 71k while the REL T5 was quoted at Rs 45k ( S&V, Pune )

Never heard HSU, but reviews are great. SVS is also good but prices here are almost 100% more than U.S list prices....
