Audition Polk Speakers

Not only with old hindi music , I have found polks dont gel well just with vocals without instruments. Just my ears. :)

RTi are pretty decent for the price, but just be aware that they are known to be a bit bright over extended hearings. They will be just fine for movies, but I will thing again if you plan to listen to music for long periods.

I own the TSi200s. I'd auditioned both TSi and RTi. Yes, the Polks (both series) are a bit bright. Personally, I found the TSi more suited to my requirements than the RTi.
Audition both, and go for what suits you.

+1 to both.
I have auditioned Polk Audio Rti and Tsi series very recently and found them too bright to my liking. Though Jagjit Singh sounded quite nice through them.

Amar,

First welcome to HFV

You can look at the Polk TSi series which would match your budget

Thanks mate.

I auditioned Tsi 400 today. Since i did not listen to Tsi300 so i am not sure what will be the differnece between 400 & 300. is Low bass is the only differnce then i am going to have sub for that. below is what i listed out as per my budget.

Front: TSi 400 or Tsi 300
Rear: Tsi 100 or Rti1
Center : CS10 or Csi A4
Sub : Polk 125 or Yamaha 315.

Now the confusion is whether i should really go for Tsi 400, which actually adds low base. but since i am going to have Sub as well. do i really need Tsi400?

i was thinking that, i should upgrade the Center to Csi4 and lower down the Fronts from Tsi400 to Tsi300.

Also, i got mixed reviews for Polk Subs. My budget for Sub is around 15-20. Yamaha 315 fits into this. Please suggest.

My room size is small, 10 X15. Receiver, x667BL

Thanks
Amar

navdeep

what is your budget/size of your room if you can provide that I am sure there are many Gurus in this forum who can give you good suggestions

IMHO dont buy anything just for the heck of it or because someone says it is good. You have to experience it so try and reach out to some friends where ever you are staying and listen to various brands before you take the plunge

Hi Navdeep,

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes I have auditioned both RTi and TSi series and IMHO RTi series are the superior lot. Having said that TSi is not bad at all. :)

If you are keen on Polk please try Any of the RTi Series A5/A7/A9 they are good
