AVR for Plasma TV

Hi

I am planning to buy a plasma TV soon (mostly Panasonic P42X50D). I was wondering if i require an AVR for up scaling if i have to hook my local cable operator's set-top box to TV ? If required one please suggest a descent model from Yamaha or Denon in a budget below 30k.

Any valuable workarounds or suggestions are welcome !!!

There is no avr with upscaling feature below 30K. Also, users have reported that AVR upscaling of entry level avrs is not great. Since your tv will upscale sd content to hd for display, you don't need an avr for upscaling purpose.
