Hello All !
I will be in Bangalore from the 26th of August through until the 30th.
I have booked to visit Bangalore for the What Hi Fi Show in Ritz Carlton Hotel.
I will be staying @ Bangalore Club.
During this visit I am keen to connect & visit a few Audiophile residences.
Can that be arranged ?
If possible - do post here or PM me.
It shall be nice to catch up for some music & audio talk.
Thanks.
I look forward to some time to be spent with fellow FM's in Bangalore.

Nice clean sound.
I liked a lot.

Next Stop was ARN Systems.
Was welcomed by all @ ARN.
Mr. Sridhar too came in.
Nice Place in Frazers Town.
This is a new speaker that they make / market & represent.
I think it is called Cleopatra.
I heard it.

This is Sridhar with his new creation.
It is a proto & a bit of work is still left to go.
On 1st listen I liked it.

I listened to it via a Mac Book - Prism DAC & Line Magnetic Integrated Amp.

Shows good potential.
I liked what I heard.
Mr. Sridhar 'allowed' me to touch the speaker & therefore I moved it around.
It plays well & balanced.
It is a 'sealed' single driver.
Plays really low for a single driver speaker that does not have a x-over.
I was happy with what I heard...

Next in line was a speaker I did not like.
Not down my alley of sound.
Spatial Sound - I think it is called.

Good for some people - but not for me :-

Good Front End :-

Symphonic Line & Ayon

But, the speaker just cannot deliver.
Sorry, but it is not down my alley of sound.
I apologise for the 'being frank' part....I am a politically incorrect person...

Was this also at Sridhar's place?

Thank you for your kind words and visit. We have been communicating a long time so it is nice to finally meet. .....(Staxxx)
Sir,
Thanks to you, accommodating me in your busy schedule.
Your set up plays well.
Best I heard in Bangalore - by a country mile.
Wish we had more time to spend & explore music together.
You are a mega bank of info on western classical music.
Maybe next time I come to Bangalore - we could try and spend some time together.
Until we meet.

You forgot to mention it completely lacked the bass and the bass guitar was AWOL in the track Colour to the Moon when we heard it....

If i am wrong almost 6 or 7 members from HFV were present and everybody agreed to that...;) We call genius ourselves in music since we heard plenty of system, but one customer of ARN who came for audition felt it is missing and clarified with us about that which cleared our doubt...

Regards

Sir,
Excellent;
I cannot agree with you more.
I am sure you are a 'seasoned' audiophile & what you hear is 100 % correct.
I don't want to contest your claims.
To each his own.
I did play Yello - Touch Album / 'The Expert' Track & found the bass adequate.
However, what this speaker was designed for was not that.
It is a speaker that will excel in Indian Classical Music. Western Classical Chamber etc. Not Rock / Not Electronica etc.
Paired with a SET positioned 'appropriately' the 'sealed box' will work with the room & generate a foundation for the music.
This is a very natural sounding speaker - not conventional & I do not expect many people to 'warm' up to the sound.
That said, I respect your analysis & synopsis & would like to leave it at that.
Audio is a hobby that is dear to us all & we all have our own likes & preferences & this 'Cleopatra' clearly sits on the +ve side of things for me.:clapping:
