I agree.
When I bought it, the price was 5.5K but now it has increased.
The major difference I still see is the optical and digital SPDIF outs in the Belkin while Sony has only analogue out. So use of external DAC is possible, if it matters to you
Yes the optical outs are good to have
But my intended usage is for guests - visitors want to play particular tracks on their phones when they are at my place. This would just make it easier
Since source is of dubious quality mostly, paying too much for processing wouldnt be necessary I think
