Benq 2700 Projector Pink screen issue

Hi all,

need your help on the issue where sometime my benq projector shows pink screen when playing 4k video after few hours usage.

This is what i noticed on when the video becomes pink.

1. run the projector with hd or 4k video at initial time, it runs fine without any issue.

2. leaves the projector for few mins for idle like pausing the video.

3. Resumes the same video which was paused, it tried to load but shows pink screen when the video starts playing, however going back to main menu( movie details page) works fine. video playing is the issue here. It happens few times so far.

The issue disappears if i try to run hd video and then comes back for 4k video works fine. not sure what is the issue here.


Using 40ft monoprice slimrun av highspeed 4k hdmi cable.

I recently upgraded from W1070 to W2700i, was checking for a firmware, I do see new firmware v1.0.6 for W2700 released this 12th. You can try that if its not done already!

Please try with another hdmi cable

Hi Lingam, if you have a firestick 4K or any other small media device try connecting it directly to the PJ (with a smaller hdmi cable) and try to replicate the issue. if you dont see the issue then HDMI cable must be the culprit.

Looks like its common issue with w2700, have seen many posts around that in avsforum owners thread.
