I have been using AIMP for Android in the past year and I'm happy with it. The EQ feature enabled gives me a great listening experience. You can try it and incase it's not what you like,then just uninstall.

Would this not be based in the IEM ? ie for a high impedance you would need an external amp, but if the IEM is bass shy by design then EQ via an app ?
