Best but affordable Media player

I would like the play media from the USB drive. I have BDP 5500 but that has severe limitation regarding video/audio formats. So I decided to purchase external media player that should play latest video/audio formats.

You have not mentioned a budget.

You can look at Mi Box 4k. Costs less than 5k and should be able to play all formats from USB.

I'd have purchased fire stick max with USB split cable as a media player option but still it is FAT 32 that means max file size is 4GB. What a bummer? Downloaded Atmos movies easily exceeds 4GB.

Although not on a budget, Apple TV 4K and Nvidia Shield provide best quality of picture and sound. You may try to snag either when they come on sale here
