3. No Rez lining listed @ $39.95 --> how much is needed for one pair of X-LS Encore? Sorry to be asking this (dumb) question at this late stage. I have not really been able to follow the full 41 pages of this thread.

I will also opt for cabinet if available preferably from Ruben. Or the one that's being discussed from Chennai. Or Delhi. I think it will be way above my current capabilities to build it from scratch. Or find a good and willing carpenter. Anyone knows experienced cabinet builders in Mumbai? I'd hate to end up with a less than perfect cuboid cabinet or less than round holes for the drivers and ports.

Thanks for pointing out. Since the SW 12B drivers have exhausted, the hot deal ceases to exist but the amp can be procured @$149 as listed on the website. Alternatively, you may consider buying the servo sub kit which @ $497 though more expensive than the regular sub, is definitely superior.

Edit:

As per information given by Danny, the woofers are available but the amps would not be sold as part of this kit at the special rate of $199. Since one SA-1 amp was available, your name has been included for the sub kit.

Capt, I think we need to check out the Volume also since the quotes hv been given for 1 cubic meter / 650 lbs ..Prob Danny can now give the final Vol / Wt so that the shipping cost can be estimated.

1) We however need to decide whether to get the invoices made on individual names or on one persons . I think there was a small discussion on this but got lost ..
2) Think the destination port has been decided as chennai.
3) Customs clearance

Spoke to one Mr. Omkar of Kamino International. This is what he says:

1. Freight charges would depend on CBM (Dimensions in cubic metres) of the cargo and not on the weight. The quote given was for one pallet.

2. Customs charges are same for individuals as well as for commercial importers and would be calculated on the invoice value. Exact details would be known on Monday.

Sure, it can be included. That would be $100 I guess. What about the cabinet for the Sub you are buying. Won't it make sense to use same carpenter to do both than buy one here and one there.

Wish you had communicated with him in the thread itself so that even others could've got an option to join in and may be even bring down the costing. May be you can get the flat packs even for encore and save yourself from some hard work.

I understand that you are offering to do the X-LS Encore flat-pack for $75 if 4 or more people opt for it. Is there a similar option for the X-CS Encore and the Subwoofer kit GR SW-12B + SA-1 Sub amp and the AV-1 RS? Could you please let us know the group buy numbers required and your best price for those? If there are requisite number of people interested and Captain, Danny & others agree to include the flat-packs in the shipping pallet, then it would make it a bit easier to newbies like me. Also just wondering if you would include all the braces required in your flat-packs?
