I had put my gr sub driver for sale sometime back and sbg has shown interest in getting the same. We discussed and also got the confirmation from captain and my sub driver is sold to sbg and captain will be shipping my sub driver along with sbg's package. Just wanted to keep you all informed regarding the same. It is still great to be part of this groupby one of the best seen so far..

Yes, I got the invoice, packing list and bill of lading. There is no time to get certificate of origin at this juncture. On my request, Danny had sent me a hi rez scanned copy. I'll take a print out and reason with the customs guys since one such certificate is already available in the pallet.

Contacted the shipping agents today. I believe the mother ship which is carrying our pallets could not offload our pallets onto Chennai bound ship at Colombo due to congestion at that port. It has now set sail for Singapore; ETA at Singapore is 7.7.12. Below is their mail stating the same:

For those of you who have bought the sub woofer kits, which sub woofer wires ( i guess they are called sub woofer interconnect cable or something ? ) are you planning to use? and how much will a good wire cost?

Is it advisable to buy it her or from abroad?

I have opted for servo sub kit so need to decide on the sub woofer wire for same.

If you are taking about the Subwoofer Interconnect. A Sub RCA is all that is needed . costs anywhere between 500 to Rs 2,000 and more ..
Purely depends on cable length needed and which brand you choose.
DAC, Audioquest, Belden, Monster Cables, MX, etc etc

Yes you can .
Actually any 75ohm RCA / Coax cable cane be used.
However it it is well shielded to avoid any Ground loop or signal interference problems.

Read somewhere on the Audio circle forum that for low 20Hz output from sub-woofer the input has to be via line-in (left and right) as input via LFE bypasses the transform circuit. So for better performance we would have to consider a 1 RCA - 2 RCA interconnect or at least a Y splitter at the end. So does any one know of cheaper option than the one posted below with comparable performance?

Sorry to chip in late. I found Sommer Galelio to be VFM for subwoofer cables.

for a bit more Solara is a LF specfic model but limited to 1-2 meter lengths.

for longer lengths than 2 meters the Corona will work too but remember it is unbalanced. The Galelio is better sheilded and designed to run 100 meters without picking up noise.

Sorry for the delay guys, I was out of station and couldn't catch up on all the threads.

I have got in touch the shipping company and have the following information to share: -

The mother ship offloaded our pallet to the carrier ship 'Marinose' at Singapore Port. That ship has gone to Vietnam to pick up some cargo.

It has since set sail from Vietnam and would be coming to Chennai Port; ETA is 19th July 2012 (Tentative).
